Motel 6 Eureka, CA – Redwood Coast

This was a VERY CHEAP hotel so set your expectations low. I got 2 rooms and while they were clean they did smell of cigarette smoke (typical). The property also was worn down the ac/ heat unit was sooooooo noisy and 4 of the 5 ice machines were broken. Very typical Motel 6 experience! Yet would stay again, lol

Rooms are good. Front desk not very friendly. I could not get a receipt for my staying, needed for reimbursement. I payed full price $150. Little too much for a motel 6. I usually book with Expedia i didn't this time. I regret it.

We just left this hotel and I got to say for a basic hotel with no frills and the price it was very nice. Everything was clean, no air freshener smell except in the lobby, and the night concierge on Friday night on 03/28/25 was friendly. We got on around 11 PM and I needed another pillow and he brought us one instead of saying no. Thank for making a bad rep motel nice hope other Motel 6s follow suit.

This place changed my mind about Hotel 6. It was clean, modern, friendly, welcomed my dogs, and even had parking to accommodate our truck and boat. The parking lot was well lit and monitored. All for a reasonable price. Thank you!!

The room at motel 6 was adorable and so clean. The lady at the front desk was friendly and efficient. The area felt a little sketchy. There was a locked gate to get in to the back from one direction, but not the other direction. Overall, our stay was nice.

If you’re traveling through Eureka California and you don’t stop and stay at motel 6 then you’re probably paying too much for too little because this place is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in and the staff here are really helpful and polite. So if I could give them a 10 star review I would and I wouldn’t think twice about booking a room here again if I ever travel through Eureka again Y’all gotta check this place out because it’s one of the cleanest and politest places I’ve ever stayed and I’m going to leave the housekeeping a tip for being so awesome

Newly remodeled studio suite was nice but had no dishes or utensils so that was a little useless, pet friendly $10 per pup up to 2 for the stay, ice machine and vending machines under a carport area, parking lot was quite small and cramped but fortunately it was not full. Location was right near historic district. Would stay again.
